On the occasion of India’s Republic Day, a Flag Hoisting Ceremony will be held at the High Commission of India, 3 Moonah Place Yarralumla on Sunday the 26th January, 2014 at 9.00 AM. All members of the Indian community are cordially invited to attend and are requested to be at the site by 8.45 AM.
We are pleased to inform you that FINACT is organising its annual T-20 Cricket Tournament for the third year. The tournament is starting on 2 February and 12 teams are participating in this tournament. Draws will be held at the High Commission of India following the flag hoisting ceremony on 26 January 2014.

FINACT T-20 Cricket Tournament - 2 Feb to 2 Mar 2014
After the success of previous two annual T-20 tournaments, FINACT executive committee is delighted to announce the opening of FINACT T-20 Tournament 2014. The tournament will start on 2nd Feb and will run through 2nd March 2014. Draws for the tournament will be held on 26th Jan 2014 at High Commission of India, Canberra after the flag hoisting program by His Excellency High Commissioner of India.
The sport in general and cricket in particular, teaches us discipline, mutual respect and provide us with the sense of belongingness which is highly essential for our cohesive and culturally diverse society for which we should all feel proud.
T-20 tournament is a unique experience for Indo-Australians to participate and feel proud of their culture and heritage. It also provides an opportunity for wider Australian community to enjoy the sport and learn about the unity in diversity existing within Indian community.
