T-20 Cricket Tournament

Dear Visitor

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 2013 FINACT Rolling Trophy T 20 Cricket Tournament. 12 teams will be playing league matches on Sunday 17/2/13 at four ovals – 2 ovals at Dickson and one each at Harrison and Bonner – from 9 am to 5 pm.

The High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Mr Biren Nanda will be inaugurating the tournament on Sunday 17 February at 8.45 am at the Dickson ovals on Antill Street.

Other dignitaries are expected to attend at various times throughout the day. 

Over 150 players will be playing and they need your support and participation on the day.  Please bring your family and friends along and enjoy this enthralling and unifying game of CRICKET.

Twenty20 Cricket is not new to the Indian community. Since the rapid rise of Twenty20 cricket around the world the first official World Cup took place in South Africa during September 2007 and was won by the nation of India.....

I am delighted to offer my warmest congratulations and support to FINACT on again staging the FINACT Rolling Trophy T20 cricket tournament here in Canberra.

Last year’s inaugural event was most successful with eight teams competing over four weeks. Along with a large crowd of Cricket lovers at Manuka Oval, I enjoyed some exciting cricket on the "Finals" day, with  Andra Pradesh Warriors and Assam Rhinos doing battle for the inaugural Colliers Trophy. ......

Just tow days to go before the matches begin. We are looking forward to cheering all the teams.

The Quarter finals will be played on Sunday 24 February 2013 from 12.30 pm to 5 pm at Harrison and Palmerston ovals.  The Semi finals will be held on Sunday 3 March 2013 from 12.30 pm to 5 pm at Palmerston ovals.
