Dear Visitor ji,
This is to thank you for your support and assistance for a very successful first round of the tournament. It was pleasant to see that the teams were well equipped to combat the extreme weather conditions. Despite excruciating heat, we couldn’t see even any traces of subjugation on the moral at any stage.
As the organisers and hosts for this tournament, we extend our special thanks to Senator Kate Lundy to grace the opening ceremony with her presence and encouraging the participating teams. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Honourable Deputy High Commissioner Mr Surinder K Datta and Mr Tarun Kumar for their presence and encouragement. You may wish to view photographs that have been uploaded on our website and facebook page.
12 teams are participating in this tournament. 8 teams have entered quarter finals that would be played on this SUN 9 February at Kaleen Ovals. Matches will start at 11:30 AM and you are cordially invited to enjoy the sport and encourage teams. Please see below the details of quarter finals.
As you know, for the last two years FINACT is also hosting a match for Tendulkar-Akram Shield between FINACT 11 and Pakistani Team. FINACT is in the process of finalising the preparation for this match that will be communicated shortly. The Executive Committee or Cricket Coordination Committee has not authorised anyone to discuss this tournament on behalf of FINACT.

Message from our Patron, Ms Joy Burch MLA
As the Patron of the Federation of Indian Associations of the ACT Inc, I am very pleased to support the FINACT Rolling Trophy T‑20 Cricket Tournament for 2014. The 2014 tournament follows on from two very successful previous tournaments.
Few things ignite the passions of Indians and Australians as much as cricket, with the game serving as a bridge between our two cultures. Twenty20 Cricket is an exciting take on the game with this format firmly embraced by India, who of course won the first official twenty20 World Cup in 2007. Twenty20 cricket is rapidly becoming a favourite cricket format in Australia.
FINACT has set about adding our own local flavour to the concept and hosted the inaugural FINACT Tournament here in the ACT since 2012. The passion and intensity of the teams playing has been remarkable and I wish all participants success and I look forward to seeing this Tournament as an annual fixture on our local sporting calendar.

Message from the Deputy Chief Minister of ACT
On behalf of the ACT Government, welcome to the 2014 Federation of Indian Associations of ACT (FINACT) T20 Rolling Trophy Cricket Tournament.
Now in its third year, the tournament celebrates the shared passion that both India and Australia have for the great game of cricket. The ACT Indian community has truly embraced this event with participation once again set to exceed previous years.
Sport brings people together from diverse cultures and walks of life. In particular, cricket fosters cultural exchange, on the pitch, in local competitions and through tournaments such as this.
This year’s tournament comes towards the end of another fantastic season of cricket in Canberra, including the great success of the sell-out Prime Minister’s XI game against England. With the 2015 Cricket World Cup fast approaching, including three games at beautiful Manuka Oval, the ACT Government continues to support cricket at all levels in the ACT.
