Anglo-Indian Association of Canberra is organising The Grand Ball on 13 October. SIFAA is presenting spectacular Indian Dance, Bharatnatyan, in association with the High Commission of India  Shine n Rise is organising Bollywood Voice of Canberra 2013.  Full of fun and entertainment guaranteed in coming weeks.

Australia in The Asian Century  

Dear friends

I am writing about the upcoming National Forum - The Human Dimension of the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) on 25 and 26 September 2012.

FINACT has been offered 10 complimentary sponsored delegate day passes to attend Harsh Shrivastava’s keynote session on Tuesday, September 25 (2.25 - 3.25 pm).

In addition, the program has a plenary session on ‘Australia in the Asian century’ earlier that day (10.50 am to 12.10 pm).

Professor Amitabh Mattoo, Director - Australia India Institute is one of the confirmed panellists and this session might be interesting for those wanting to attend Harsh’s talk.

Floriade 2012  - 15 Sep to 14 Oct

Floriade is Australia's biggest celebration of spring. This iconic Canberra event runs for 30 days over the months of September and October.

It showcases one million flowers in bloom, set in Canberra's Commonwealth Park and entry is free. We welcome over 400,000 local, interstate and international visitors each year to Canberra's spring festival

 September 25 & 26: Australia in the Asian Century. This landmark event is being held at the Ann Harding Conference Centre, University of Canberra.
 October 13: The Grand Anglo-Indian Ball
 October 13: Bollywood Voice of Canberra 2013 by Shine n Rise Events
 October 14: Bharatnatyam Dance at the National Gallery of Australia by SIFAA.
