AusIndia Fair on Sat 30 March

Dear Visitor ji,

The Federation of Indian Associations of ACT (FINACT), a peak body representing 26 member associations, is organising its annual event - AusIndia Fair this Saturday 30 March from 2 to 8 pm at Stage 88, Commonwealth Park. 

This is one of the biggest events in the ACT celebrating the great contribution Indian Australians are making in various fields including community harmony and well being through confluence of shared values of Australia and India. 

Please see below a few selected messages from national and state leaders welcoming you all to the AusIndia Fair this weekend. 

Message from the Hon Scott Morrison, Prime Minister of Australia

I am delighted to send my best wishes to everyone attending the AusIndia Fair, a significant event for the Canberra community that celebrates the very best of Indian culture. 

Events like this are an important part of our nation’s multicultural character, enabling the entire community to share in India’s rich traditions and to appreciate the strong ties between our nations. 

With you, I take great pride in the many contributions the Indian community makes to our country—in business, in education, in culture and in community.

The foundation of our relationship with India are strong – we share values, a commitment to democratic institutions, enormous goodwill and strong relationships between our people. We’ve been friends for a very long time. 

So I thank the organisers and attendees of this year’s AusIndia Fair for your commitment to these ideals.

FINACT initiated the AusIndia Fair to showcase our shared values and promote bilateral relations through the integration of culture, business, values and togetherness.
