Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the High Commission of India

On the occasion of the   65^th  Anniversary of India’s Independence   a Flag   Hoisting Ceremony will be held at the High Commission of India, 3 Moonah Place, Yarralumla on Wednesday the 15^th August, 2012 at 9.00AM. 

All members of the Indian   community are cordially invited to attend and are requested  to be   present at the Chancery by 8.45am.

The contribution of people of Indian heritage helps make Canberra such a wonderfully diverse city.  I especially commend the influence and contribution of Indian-Australians in areas such as business, public service, education, science, engineering, medicine and the arts, just to name a few.
